Event Center Auction Aug. 30th

The consignment auction for the new community events center will be at noon this Sunday at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine.  All the proceeds from this auction will be applied to the 1.5-million-dollar matching grant offered by an anonymous donor.

A few of the items donated include a Walker zero turn mower, two 45 Long colt pistols, a handmade knife, original artwork, a saddle and tack, barb wire, Husker Football memorabilia and a set of Texas Longhorn horns.  You can see the list at connotbrothersauction.com. 

You can consign items this week for the sale on Sunday.  Consignments will be taken until 10AM on Sunday.  Lunch will be available during the sale. For more information call the visitors center at 402 376 2969.
