The annual 4-H livestock judging clinic and competition was held on May 26, 2026, at the

Cherry County Fairgrounds. Nolan Orwig & Tevor Gill were the head clinicians/judges,

assisted by Craig O’Kief & Andy Dawson. Youth judged five classes of livestock – market

beef, breeding beef, market swine, market sheep, and market goat. Stock was provided by

Craig O’Kief, Josh Delaney, the Jones family, the Dawson family, and the Wickman family.

The participants also had the opportunity to complete an in-person Youth for the Quality

Care of Animals (YQCA) annual required course, taught by 4-H Educator, Blaire Speck.

After YQCA we held a basic showmanship clinic where Mahaya Jones and Maysa jones led

the goat, lamb, and beef portion and clinician Jayce Meyring led the hog portion.
