Another Fire At Sunrise Apartments

The latest fire call to the Sunrise Apartments in Mission, South Dakota came just after 10am on Sunday.
Several vacant apartments were engulfed in flames. Mission Volunteer Fire and Rescue requested Valentine Volunteer Fire Department for mutual aid, bringing their ladder truck and additional equipment and manpower to fight the blaze.
It was reported that due to windy conditions, firemen conducted a small controlled burn to help prevent the fire from spreading to area vegetation.
