4th Street Construction Begins Phase 3

Main St to reopen for traffic in phase 3.

The construction project on West 4th Street is now beginning Phase 3 work. This will include reopening Main Street to traffic this week.

Phase 2 work, on HWY 83 North, between the intersection of Edna Street and Main Street is nearing completion. The 9-inch doweled concrete roadway is in place,

intersections placed, and driveways and sidewalks are under construction. Expect to see sidewalk construction and finish grading to continue under traffic.

The detour that allowed a portion of highway 83 to be closed, will be removed. HWY 83 Traffic will return to main Street and 4th Street (HWY 83).

The remaining construction, Phase 3, will continue under one-lane traffic, with count down Stop Lights. Plan for delays as the stop lights will cycle every 6

minutes. Deployment is planned for Thursday, July 31st.

The work is on schedule with project completion scheduled for this fall.
