Valentine Police Department responded to a total of 46 calls in the past week

During the week of July 19th to the 25th, two arrests were reported by the Valentine

Police Department.

At 10:50 PM on July 22nd, an officer made contact with a suspicious vehicle in the

City Park. The driver, a 19 year old South Dakota man, was arrested for Driving

Under the Influence and Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce. The passenger,

a 22 year old South Dakota man, was also arrested and charged with Procuring Alcohol

for a Minor and Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce.

The police department responded to 46 calls during the week, including:

14 traffic stops

4 animal complaints

3 code violations

4 complaints

2 theft reports

1 non-injury accident

1 report of vandalism

1 domestic disturbance
