4th Annual Sandhills Catfish Classic Results

40 teams competed on Saturday, September 13th, at the 4th annual Sandhills Catfish Classic hosted by Tooth and Whisker Outdoors in Valentine. The Friday night rules meeting was held at Frederick Peak Golf Club.

The daytime tournament saw the top 8 teams weighed in a total of about 500 pounds of fish. The top 9 teams all gathered 60 pounds or more of catfish from the waters of Merrit Reservoir.

Taking first place was John Nadolski and Elysha Hartman with 62.5 pounds. Second place was the team of Aaron Brown, Sydnie Brown and Hollie Brown with 61.8 pounds. The third

place team was Mike Vavra, Jason Jura and Kutler Couch with 61.5 pounds. Sam Donlinger and Tatin Krueger were 4th place and rounding out the top five was the team of Jeff Meyer and Chris Drews.
