At about 7:15 Wednesday night, emergency crews were called to the report of a car versus semi motor vehicle accident about 3 miles southeast of Valentine on Highways 20 and 83 involving a car and semi loaded with a cattle pot.  According to Cherry County Emergency Management officials, the accident happened between the river and the “Y” and reduced traffic to one lane for about 2 and a half hours before being restored at about 9:45pm. 

Agencies responding included the Valentine Volunteer Fire Department, Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service, the Nebraska State Patrol and NDOT as well as the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office, and Valentine Police Department.  Emergency Management was also present on scene.  No details including the number of persons involved nor their conditions have been provided at this time.
