VPD Week In Review June 28 to July 4

Several arrests were reported by the Valentine Police Department in the past week.

During the week of June 28th to July 4th, the following arrests were reported by the

Valentine Police Department:

At 7:00 PM on June 28th, a traffic stop lead to the arrest of a 29 year old Nebraska

man for driving under suspension.

On June 30th, at 9:10 PM, a 22 year old Nebraska man was arrested for driving under

suspension.

On June 30th, at 4:30 PM, officers responded to an assault complaint that lead to

the arrest of a 29 year old Nebraska man for the offense of assault by Strangulation

On July 1st, a traffic stop near the intersection of South Vivian and Highway 20

lead to the arrest of a 37 year old Nebraska man for driving under the influence of

alcohol.

During the week, officers responded to 34 calls for service, including:

6 traffic stops

5 animal complaints

2 welfare checks

2 city code violations

2 disturbances

1 missing person

1 assault
