VPD Week In Review, April 26 - May 2 2026

Valentine Police Department responded to 24 calls for service during the week

During the week of April 26th to May 2nd, two arrests were reported by the Valentine

Police Department:

On April 29th, at 3:30 AM, an officer responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of

North Lodi Street. A 39 year old Nebraska woman was arrested and charged with

Disturbing the Peace.

On April 30th, at 1:15 AM, a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Cherry Street

lead to the arrest of a 63 year old California man after the officer detected

illegal drugs in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of

marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. The driver was taken to the

Cherry County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The police department responded to 24 calls for service during the week, including:

2 calls of a suspicious person or vehicle

3 disturbances

1 non-injury motor vehicle accident

3 assaults

1 welfare check

1 complaint of harassment
