Valentine Police Department Week In Review July 26 - August 1st 2026

VPD responded to 25 calls for service in the past week.

During the week of July 26th to August 1st, two arrests were reported by the

Valentine Police Department:

At 8:20 PM on July 27th, an officer responded to a shoplifting complaint in the 700

block of East Highway 20. A 30 year old South Dakota man was arrested and charged

with Theft by Shoplifting and Criminal Impersonation.

At 2:30 AM on August 1st, a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd and Hall

Streets lead to the arrest of a 24 year old Maryland woman for the offense of

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

During the week officers responded to 25 calls for service, including:

4 traffic stops

3 welfare checks

2 animal complaints

2 disturbances

1 domestic disturbance

1 theft
