Valentine Police Department Week in Review

The following arrests were made by the Valentine Police Department during the week of August 10th to August 16th, 2025.
On Sunday August 10th, an officer responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 500 block of West 3rd Street. One of the drivers in the accident, a 25 year old
Nebraska man, was arrested for Driving under the influence of alcohol.
On August 13th, at 10:40 PM, officers responded to a disturbance in a motel parking lot on Highway 20. A 22 year old South Dakota man was subsequently arrested for
misdemeanor Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest.
On August 16, at approximately 1:00 PM, an officer responded to a report from the Cherry County Hospital that an emergency room patient had reported being assaulted. Information from the victim and other witnesses lead to the arrest of a 52 year old
South Dakota woman on the charges of Assault in the Second Degree and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.
In all, the police department responded to 28 calls during the week, including:

-1 welface check
