Valentine Firemen Respond To Smoke Smell Monday Morning

The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department was requested to the Matt Elliott place near Sparks, NE at about 5am on Monday morning.

The Cherry County dispatch stated that the reporting party could smell smoke, but could not locate the source of the odor.

According to Chief Terry Engels, Firefighters from VFD responded quickly to the scene and used a thermal camera to check throughout the house, but could not locate any hot spots or any other source where the smell could be originating from. Cherry Todd Electric was contacted to check the property.
