NC RC&D Recycling

The North Central RC&D met Wednesday in Bassett for a regular monthly meeting. The board reviewed the recent paper shredding event in the 6 county area that include 47 bins of paper collected along highway 20 and 35 bins from Highway 12 route. In all it was over 11 tons of documents shredded and recycled.

 The board also discussed future electronics recycling for the communities and offering battery recycling at various locations in the 6 county area.

The council focuses on recycling efforts from Cherry to Holt Counties across Northern Nebraska. Each community, county, city and NRD's have aplace on the board if the desire to fill it. If you are interested in participating contact your local city or village board, county commissioners or even chambers of commerce.
