The 3rd annual KVSH Salsa Showdown, hosted by The Bull Market, was held Wednesday evening at The Bull Market in Valentine.  There were 16 homemade salsa’s that were entered in this year’s contest.  Judges were Jordan Bailey and Jayden Bacon from Valentine High School and Birk Burge and Zach Dean from KVSH Radio.  The salsa’s ranged from sweet and mild to inferno and from chunky to creamy.   The judges forced their way through all 16 salsas to score each one and determine the overall winners.

Placing first in the heated competition was Marta Lurz with her Pico style salsa that scored big with all the judges.  Marta will win $50 from KVSH Radio, a $40 gift certificate from The Bull Market, a KVSH Hot Barn Report cap and an official Bull Market Cap.

Taking second place in the contest was Pat Schemmer who will receive $25 from KVSH Radio, a 25 dollar gift certificate from The Bull Market and a Bull Market Cap.  Randy McFarland took third place with his fresh salsa and will also get a $25 gift certificate from The Bull Market, a Hot Barn Report Cap.

The people’s choice award goes to Valerie Peterson who receives a Janines gift certificate from KVSH, and a Bull Market official cap.

KVSH would like to thank The Bull Market for hosting the salsa Showdown and all those who submitted entries for the contest.
