Huskerland Communications Purchased By Atlantic Wireless

Huskerland Communications Store in Valentine, NE

An area business has changed ownership in Nebraska.  Huskerland Communications, based in Valentine, NE has been purchased by Atlantic Wireless in North Carolina.  The first Huskerland Communications store started in 1999 with a partnership between Matt Sandoz and Gary Weaver.  Matt later became sole owner of the business that over the years had up to 10 stores across Nebraska before downsizing.  At the time of the purchase, there were 3 stores in Valentine, O’Neill, and Columbus.  Atlantic Wireless did give the current employees the option to remain at the stores under the new ownership, and there will be a continued presence in their communities.  According to Sandoz, the trend has been for larger and larger agents, saying that even “small” agents these days may have hundreds of stores.  Matt Sandoz expressed his appreciation for all his customers and said that he has considered his staff to be more family than employees.
