The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department and Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service were  called to the report of a trailer fire at the Cherry County Fairgrounds during the Nebraska State High School Finals Rodeo Friday morning.

Everyone was out of the trailer safely, and there were no injuries or losses to horses or other livestock.

A quick response by first responders at the fairgrounds were able to douse the trailer, and firemen used the heat-detecting camera to ensure that the fire was fully extinguished before returning to the fire hall.

The call came in at about 7:45 Friday morning, and firemen were able to leave the scene shortly after.
