The Nebraska Firearm deer permits are disappearing rather quickly with the season a little over one week away. The season begins on November 15th.  KVSH has been monitoring the remaining permit numbers through Nebraska Game and Parks.  In the Sandhills Unit there are only 86 remaining permits out of 1,020 allotted.

In the Keya Paha Unit, there are currently 710 permits remaining from the total of 2,000.  Calamus West has 215 permits left from an allotment of 1190.  That number dropped by about 150 since Monday.

The firearm deer season runs November 15th through the 23rd.  this year you can check your deer through the Tele check system or at the fish hatchery. Be sure to wear your hunter orange.
