Busy 4th in Valentine

This 4th of July in the Valentine Community will be busy honoring the 250th anniversary of signing of the Declaration of Independence. Across the country at 9AM central time, churches will join together in ringing bells to celebrate. Individuals are asked to join in by ringing any bell you might have.
Parade entries should line up at 9:30 at 1st and Main Street with the 4th of July parade starting at 10AM. Liberty Fireworks will sponsor the parade with $500 in prize money. Parade entry forms are available at KVSH Radio.
At 11AM will be the Let Freedom Ring program at the high school football field. Participants will read parts of the Declaration of Independence and recite the pledge of allegiance. They will also be encouraged to ring the Badger bell to honor America.
The Cherry County Ag Society will sponsor the annual demolition derby at 6:30 followed by a large fireworks display at the fairgrounds. The fireworks are sponsored by NK Waste Management, the Burdick Family, Parasol Manufacturing, Reese Propane and Appliance and Liberty Fireworks. KVSH will play special patriotic music during the fireworks display so be sure to have your Simple Radio app going or you radio tuned to 940AM.
