The Board of Directors of the Valentine Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce
the appointment of Bruce Anderson as Executive Director. He joins the Chamber
following the resignation of Director Jenny Moore in February.
Bruce brings more than four decades of experience in both nonprofit and for-profit
organizations. His background includes management roles with Speedee Mart, Pizza
Hut, and Casey’s, as well as nearly a decade of service as Human Resources Manager
at Rosebud Casino. Many in the community may also recognize Bruce from Heart City
Radio KVSH, where he served as a sales manager and board operator under the name
“your old buddy Bruce.”
Bruce has also been active in the Valentine community as a volunteer for Chamber
events and Sandhills Area Foundation fundraising events. His experience includes
leadership, budgeting, organizational management, communication, problem-solving,
networking, financial management, marketing, promotion, training, scheduling,
performance management, and technical support. He is especially committed to
supporting local businesses and strengthening the Valentine area community.
“I look forward to working with the community to bring a positive change to the
area,” Bruce said.
Bruce is eager to begin his work with the Board, including updating business
information in the Chamber’s records and making personal visits to current members.
“I am excited to start this new position with the Valentine Chamber of Commerce.
Along with the Board of Directors we will face the challenges in small towns
throughout Nebraska,” he said.
Bruce began his new duties on April 27. He can be reached at the Chamber office at
402-322-5950.
