During the week of July 6th to July 12th, 2025, the following arrests were made by the Valentine Police Department:
On July 6th, at 7:55 PM, police responded to a report of a disturbance involving two intoxicated males on Dowden Street in Valentine. Two Nebraska men, ages 44 and 43, were arrested on the charge of Disturbing the Peace and taken to the Cherry County Jail.
On July 8th, at 9:25 PM, an officer responded to an assault complaint in the 800 Block of Dowden Street. A 28 year old South Dakota woman was arrested for the misdemeanor offense of Assault in the Third Degree, as well as an outstanding arrest warrant.

The Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred during the 4th of July weekend at a residence in the 900 block of Moon Street in Valentine. Several items were taken, including an Occulus Virtual Reality Headset. Anyone with
