VPD Week In Review August 2 - 8 2026
During the week of August 2nd to August 8th, 2026, the following arrests were reported by the Valentine Police Department:
-On August 5th, at 2:00 AM, an officer observed a vehicle in the City Park after hours. The officer contacted the occupants of the vehicle, which resulted in the arrest of an 18 year old Nebraska man on the charge of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
-At 10:13 PM on August 5th, an officer was dispatched to investigate a disturbance at the City Park. A twenty year old male was arrested and charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce. Another adult female adult involved in the disturbance was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.
-At 12:13 PM on August 6th, an officer was dispatched to a reported disturbance near the intersection of 3rd and Macomb. A 31 year old Nebraska woman was arrested and charged with Disturbing the Peace.
-At 11:55 PM on August 6th, a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd and Cherry lead to the arrest of a 40 year old Nebraska woman on the charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

6 animal complaints
4 disturbances
1 welfare check
1 suspicious person or vehicle
