The Memorial Cruise June 20th

Over 35 years ago, a group of car guys got together and decided there needed to be a classic motor club in Valentine. Several of the Valentine Classic Motor Clubs founding members have since passed away. To honor those members, like Jack Monroe, Bruce and Gerry Schleve it was decided there should be a memorial cruise.
This year’s inaugural cruise will be June 20th and will travel from Valentine to Springview, then to Ainsworth, Wood Lake and back to Valentine. After returning to Valentine the drivers will congregate around the Valentine swimming pool area to display cars to the public and enjoy a social evening of sharing stories about old cars, old friends and old memories. You do not have to have a classic car to join the cruise. Your daily driver or your special editions are invited. Drivers and cars should gather at the old clubhouse on North Green Street where the cruise will leave at 2:30CT. KVSH Radio will play special cruising music that Saturday afternoon sponsored by Frontier Motors of Winner.
To the best of our knowledge there are two remaining founding members from that first meeting, Don Monroe and Bruce Kneifl. There were others who joined the organization in the early stages, and we hope they will attend to help share memories.
KVSH Radio will offer a $100 prize to the car that receives the most votes from the public as the favorite. KVSH is working with The Valentine Classic Motor Club president Chase Olson to organize this event. Call Mike Burge at 402 376 6842 or Chase at 402 322 5248 for more information. Stay tuned to KVSH for further updates.
