Event Center Fund Raising Grows With Upcoming Auction

After the increased gift from the City of Valentine Economic Development funds, volunteers continue to push fund raising to take advantage of that 1.5 million dollars match from a donor.  The deadline of September 7th, is approaching fast.

The next step is a consignment auction put on by Cherry County Tourism on August 30th at the Cherry County fairgrounds in Valentine. The auction begins at 12 noon central time.  They are looking for saleable items which can be donated to the Sandhills Area Foundation for the benefit of the Cherry County Events Center. There have been donated guns, equipment, hay, large household items an much more.  Consignments will be taken up to 10AM the day of the sale.
