Cherry County Fair This Week

This week is fair week in Cherry County.  The theme this year is Uncle Sam, Apple Pie and County Fair. 

Tuesday is quilts of valor with 4-H fashion show at 6:30. Wednesday is small animal show, dog show at 6:30.  Thursday will begin beef, goat, sheep, swine and livestock shows.

Thursday evening at 6:30 will be the parade on Main Street.  KVSH will broadcast the parade live.  Parade entries at due Tuesday at noon at the studios of KVSH Radio. Everyone is invited to a free BBQ at the fairgrounds after, sponsored by the Ag Society.

Friday is rodeo slack at 8AM, livestock shows, trade show and entertainment on stage during the day.  Mutton busting begins at 6:30 with rodeo performance at 7. After the rodeo, enjoy a dance with music by BJ Jamison. Stage entertainment on Friday will include The Old Farmhouse Duo at 10AM, Bethany Springer at 1PM, Festus at 2, Joel Gothard at 3pm and Bree Demotigny at 4.

Saturday will be the trade show, turtle races, 4-H livestock sale at 4pm, ice cream social at 3, chamber watermelon feed at 6 and rodeo at 7. Saturday entertainment will include The Old Farmhouse Duo (Danny and Kathy Bennett) at 10AM, Festus at 1, Randy Anderson at 2 and special event center update at 3 with free ice cream social.

Cowboy Church will start Sunday at 9AM with ranch rodeo at 1.  Sunday is also the best dressed pet contest at 1, sand volleyball, horseshoe and cornhole tournament. Entries for the ranch rodeo are closed at this time.
