32 area swimmers traveled to Broken Bow to compete at the Broken Bow Cosmos Swim Meet.  7 teams with 170 swimmers competed in a total of 1,022 races over the weekend.  The 100 degree weather was perfect for the swimmers who had an outstanding showing. 

First year swimmer, Dylan Witt qualified for the State Swimming competition in his 50 meter backstroke race with a time of 1.08.87.  He will join Caleb Long, Ethan Osnes and KayLynn Miller July 30-August 1 in Lincoln for the State Meet.  Ethan Osnes and KayLynn Miller were honored to receive the coveted Bob Fitzpatrick award.  This special recognition is given to the swimmers who have the fastest 50 meter freestyle time in their age division.  Caleb Long and Savannah Dean will travel to Omaha this next weekend to compete in the last regular season meet of the summer.
