Over two dozen teams competed the a golf tournament at the Valentine Golf Club on Sunday in memory of Cork Young.  The 4th annual "The Cork" tournament featured over 75 golfers.  Winning the championship flight was the team of Dick and Kim Jeffers along with Gus Brown.  Winners in the first flight were Bud Synhorst (sine-horst) with Mark and Mary Young.  Winning the 2nd flight was Donna Valentine, Dallas Fowler and Coby Kentor.   $5,000 was presented to the Sandhills Area Foundation from the Cork and Mary Young family and earmarked to begin a 5th and 6th grade contact football program.
