Badger golfers did well at the Bassett invite on monday.

The team was runner up,2nd place out of 10 teams total with a 338. Oneill won with a 330.
most exciting is the alex dredge was the individual champion of this invite shooting a 38-39,77 total for first place.  this was alex's first championship at a high school tournament/invitational.
also medaling  was lane hildebrandt  7th place with a 84 and cameron bancroft 14th with a 88. finishing up for the badgers was lucas stoeger with a 89 and brad michalek with a 90.
The next action for the Boys Golf team will be on Thursday at Ainsworth Invite at 10am.

Three Valentine Athletes have signed to play football at Chadron State College. Marshall Miller, Ben Shelbourn and Kyle Bachelor will report to eagle training camp this summer and be part of the Eagle football program. James Simmons will join those three players for the June 2nd West Nebraska All Star Football game in Scottsbluff this summer.

Shane Allison of Valentine was selected as Vern Ekfelt Coach of the Year by the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association for Class C. Coach Allison will receive the award at the associations Hall of Fame Banquet June 9, 2012 in Grand Island. Allison guided the Valentine Badger wrestling team to a State title in February at the Century Link Center in Omaha with two state champions and six medal winners.
