$5,500 Raised in Rancher Challenge

This year’s annual Cherry County Relay for Life will be held on June 22nd at the Valentine High School Football field. A change this year will be the hours of the event. Activities will officially begin at 6pm on the 22nd and conclude at 1am the following morning. To help kick off the fund raising event, KVSH hosted the 2nd annual Ranchers Challenge during the Comment program. Ranchers phoned in pledges ranging from 50 to 500 dollars. Challenges also came from law firms, banks, home based businesses and ranch hands. After about 35 minutes of pledges, $5,500 was raised for the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.

Those donations can be dropped off at the studios of KVSH or sent to either Kim Epke or Vicki Green. Kims address is 604 East 5th Street and Vicki’s is 110 Lakeshore Drive, both in Valentine. If you need more information you can call 376-5852 or 376-3678. It would be appreciated if donations can be mailed or dropped off as soon as possible. A big thank you from the Relay for Life Committee for all the contributions for this hears event.
