Enrollment at Valentine Community Schools seems to be down a bit this year, at least at the Middle and High Schools.  Overall enrollment at those two schools is down about 10 students each from the 2009 census.  Valentine High School shows 222 students including 57 freshmen, 64 sophomores, 58 juniors and 43 seniors.  In the Middle school there are 43 sixth graders, 41 in the seventh grade and 59 eighth graders for a total enrollment of 143 in those three grades.   The Valentine Elementary School at 231 students including: 42 Kindergartners, 43 first graders, 33 in the second grade, 41 in the 3^rd grade, 39 in the 4^th grade and 32 fifth graders.  These figures do not include home school students, or private schools.
